A Berlin man has died from injuries sustained when his motorcycle hit a Prius early Tuesday on Route 9 in Middletown.

Middletown Police say that just after 6 a.m. on Oct. 1, a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Mark Lemanski, 56, of Berlin was traveling south on Route 9 at Exit 16 when he hit a 2013 Toyota Prius stopped for traffic at the Hartford Avenue exit.

Lemanski was transported to Middlesex Hospital where he died, the report says. The Prius driver, Frank Mohr, 55, of Meriden, and his passenger were not injured.

Route 9 and Harford Ave were closed for the investigation, but are now open.  Any witnesses to the crash are asked to contact Officer Doug Clark at 860-638-4064.
