A two-car accident late Sunday night on the southbound side of Berlin High School shut down the road and sent one person to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to preliminary police reports, one car rear-ended a car in front of it and forced it into the median in front of Safari Golf.
The injured person was transported to the hospital and was released today according to Berlin Deputy Chief John Klett.
The highway was closed for approximately an hour before opening the far right lane. The highway was completely opened by midnight.
