Letter To The Editor: TEACH event a success

Thank you to all the sponsors of the event.

To The Editor:

On Saturday October 27 the Connecticut Autocross and Rally Team (C.A.R.T.) in conjunction with the Berlin Police and Fire Departments, and the Berlin High School, held its third annual T.E.A.C.H. event (Teen Education for Advanced Car Handling).

This event was held on the property of Corbin Russwin and was supported by following businesses: Connecticut Chimney & Vent, The Drain Doctor, Connecticut Tire, Central Pizza, and especially Mr. Bob Read, driving instructor at Berlin High School.

This event was also supported by Mohegan Sun Casino, with a donation of the use of their facility allowing C.A.R.T. to hold two (2) fundraising Autocross events there, and The Vietnam Veterans Organization also made a very generous monetary donation.

The T.E.A.C.H. event was a huge success and I would like to thank all of the volunteers from C.A.R.T. and the businesses listed above for their support.  Without the support of everyone involved, whether it be monetary, goods and services, or the use of their property, this event could not happen. And a big thank you to the students for attending this valuable experience. Youth is our greatest asset and we need to make sure to help protect the next generation.  Once again thank you to everyone involved.
