A recent article on Berlin Patch detailing the proposed raise of the Berlin Police Dept. administrators was met with some frustration by the executive board of the Berlin Police Union.
The union sent an e-mail response to the story saying that all factions of the department not only work well together but have great respect for each other.
The response is below:
The Berlin Police Union Executive Board would like to dispel any notion that a rift exists with the police administration. Although there were some inaccuracies in the Patch article we choose to focus on the positive aspects of the relationship between the union and administration.
The police union, police administration, Town Manager and Town Council enjoy an unprecedented working partnership intent on balancing the fiscal needs of the Town, providing quality police services the community deserves and recognizing the well being of our members.
Any assertion otherwise by any individual is misinformed and not the view of the vast majority of the members of our union or the Executive Board.
