Nellie E. (Jurkiewicz) Wysocki, 96, widow of John S. Wysocki, of New Britain, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at the Jefferson House, Newington. She was born in New Britain and was daughter to the late Peter and Eleanor (Kosakowski) Jurkiewicz. Nellie was a parishioner of Holy Cross Church, belonged to the New Britain Senior and a retiree of Stanley Works.
She is survived and will be dearly missed by her two daughters; Carolyn Wysocki of Berlin and Joan Chasse and her husband Norman of Michigan, her nine grandchildren; Diane Kowalczyk of Avon, Michael and David Kowalczyk of Texas, Karen Brunette of Glastonbury, James and Kenneth Chasse of Michigan, Steven Chassse of Ohio, Susan Reitz of Michigan and Linda Lautenschalger of Canada, 14 great grandchildren and several nephews.
Nellie's Polish Heritage and traditions were a very important part of her family life. Familly get togethers were filled with Polish food, music and fun. Over the years she worked at Stanley Works, PF Corbin and lastly retired from D& L. In her senior years, she loved to travel with her friends and visit family in Texas and Michigan.

Funeral services will begin Monday, July 22 at 9 a.m. from the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain followed by the funeral liturgy at 10:00am in Holy Cross Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation hours will be held Sunday, July 21, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Family requests that this is a fragrance free service and memorial donations may be made in lieu of flowers.
