Former Controller of Berlin's Tighitco Dies After Battle With Cancer

William "Bill" B. Faragher, 61, passed away last week after succumbing to cancer.

William "Bill" B. Faragher was anxiously awaiting his new Playstation 4 to arrive. He never got that chance.

Faragher, the former controller at Tighitco in Berlin, passed away at Bristol Hospital last week after an ongoing battle with cancer. He was just 61-years-old at the time of his death.

Born in 1952 in Sidney, Neb., Faragher graduated with a Bachelor's of Accountancy & Business Administration Degree from Baylor University, Waco, Texas, before coming to Connecticut, according to an obituary from Scott Funeral Home.

He was a member of the Terryville Congregational Church and member of the American Institute of CPA's & Texas Society of CPA's. Faragher was an avid gamer and was anxiously awaiting his PlayStation 4. He had a passion for bicycling, he is now pedaling on heaven's highway, the obituary stated.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Terri, they would have celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary on Monday. He also leaves behind his beautiful daughter, Megan, whom he was so proud of and loved so very much, he also leaves behind his mother, Elizabeth F. Faragher of Farmington.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 19, at 1 p.m. at the Terryville Congregational Church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.
