The Berlin Fair made not only local, state and regional news but national news as a video of a woman in an event called "The Ring of Fire" went viral.

The video showed several contestants in a circle inside the bull ring. The last remaining person in the ring was supposed to claim a cash prize. Problem was, the bull knocked all but two of the people out of the ring on its first pass. The second pass was even worse as a man was thrown high in the air and a woman was seriously injured.

She was treated by EMS at the Fair and then transported to Hubbard elementary School, where she was taken by helicopter to Hartford Hospital. The woman recoverd from her injuries.

Number Three: Does Berlin High School Have A Bullying Problem?

This story was not even an original Berlin Patch story but rather a pick-up on a Hartford Courant Article. A Courant story detailed a story of bullying at Berlin High School and Berlin Patch linked to the story and allowed students and parents to respond with their opinions.

Those opinions spoke not only about the details of the Courant story but also of other incidents. The views differed wildly. How split were the views. In a Patch Poll, we simply asked "Does Berlin High School have a bullying problem?" There were 318 votes. 158 voted "Yes" and 160 voted "No"
