Halloween's just around the corner, time to check out Patch's scoop on local pumpkin patches and farm stands!

Looking for the perfect pumpkin to carve a Jack O’ Lantern for Halloween or to round out that front porch fall display? From pick-your-own to farm stands that have done the work for you, Patch is here to help you find your perfect pumpkin patch in the region!

Appleberry Farm, 749 North Stone St., West Suffield. This farm’s sales room is open August through December and sells a variety of produce, including pumpkins. Call 860-668-2924 for availability for pick-your-own.

Botticello Farms – 209 Hillstown Road, Manchester. Pumpkins here are already gathered from the field and the farm store also sells other pre-picked produce, snacks and refreshments.

Brown's Harvest - 1911 Poquonock Ave., Windsor. Pumpkins are sold in the shop, farm stand or in the patch. Weekend hayrides to pumpkin patch starting the last weekend of September, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Children's groups weekdays by appointment. Open Mid-September, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for pumpkins, mums, cider donuts, holiday decorations, and cornstalk maze through October.
