Berlin Native Honored As Information Security Executive Award Winner

Tammy Tomasi Moskites honored as the ISE® North America People's Choice Award winner.

 

T.E.N., a technology and information security executive networking and relationship-marketing firm, announced finalists and winners yesterday evening for the ISE® North America Leadership Summit and Awards 2012. Information security executives and projects from the U.S. and Canada were recognized at the two-day event held Nov. 6-7 in Alexandria, Va. The ISE® Awards recognize outstanding achievements in risk management, data asset protection, compliance, privacy and network security.

This year’s recipient of the ISE® North America Executive of the Year Award in the Executive Commercial category was Roland Cloutier, vice president, CSO, ADP. Finalists in the category included Curtis Coleman, Information Security Officer, Seagate Technology, Tammy Tomasi Moskites, vice president and CISO, Time Warner Cable and Myrna Soto, senior vice president and CISO, Comcast.

As part of the evening’s recognition, Tammy Tomasi Moskites, vice president and CISO, Time Warner Cable, was honored as the ISE® North America People’s Choice Award Winner. The award represents the nominee who best exemplifies information security leadership as voted on by members of the security industry at large.

Tammy Tomasi Moskites, a Berlin native, is the Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer for Time Warner Cable.  She has 25-plus years of IT experience and is noted by her peers to be a results-driven and passionate executive leader with expertise envisioning and leading IT Security, Technology and Operational Support based organizations.

She is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and has held her ITIL Foundation Certification since 2001. She is well known for her ability to step in and fix broken processes and departments.

Tammy’s professional affiliations include:  ISSA, ISACA, InfraGard, CISO Executive Network, and the Information Risk Security Board. She sits as a member of the Executive Advisory Board for Venafi, Inc. Tammy moderates for Security Roundtables, has spoken at multiple events including RSA and ISE and is sought after to speak on risk remediation and reengineering information security organizations and how to make them high-performing teams! She also volunteers her IT Security expertise at non-profit companies and events.

Tammy is the 2010 North American Information Security Executive People's Choice Winner at the ISE Awards as well as a finalist for Executive of the year for North America and the Southeast United States. Tammy was also a finalist in 2009 for the Central Region.  Tammy's niche is creating order out of chaos.

Tammy has been married to her husband John for 25 years. They have three boys and five grandchildren. Outside of her security career, she focuses on her passion as an executive leadership mentor and coach. Tammy enjoys spending time with her family, attending sporting events and is an avid cook.
