Welcome Wildlife into Your Backyard

The Berlin Garden Club shows you how today at the Community Center.

For those who enjoy watching birds, butterflies, and other wild creatures, here’s a chance to learn how to attract them to your yard.

On Wednesday, October 24, 2012, the Berlin Garden Club is hosting Our Home, Their Home: Welcoming Wildlife into Your Backyard. This presentation, by Glastonbury conservationist and professional photographer Edith Royce Schade, will take place at the Berlin Community Center from 1 to 3 p.m.

Through her photography, Schade celebrates nature and promotes environmental stewardship. In addition to being a Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Master Wildlife Conservationist, she is a member of Connecticut Women Artists and a volunteer with the Connecticut Audubon Society Center and Great Meadows Conservation Trust.

Admission for this program is a nonperishable food item to be donated to the town food pantry.

For more information, call the Berlin Garden Club at (860) 828-5943.
