Plenty of Programs For Kids At Library

From crafts to movies, library has it all.

Family storytimes will be held on Thursdays at 10:30 and 6:30.  Children of all ages may come. There is no registration.   This summer the theme is animals from around the world.  Storytimes are held weekly.

July 7:  Monkeys and South American animals

July 14:  Fish and sharks of the Caribbean

Summer Reading Club for children began Friday, June 17 (when school got out).   The theme is One world, many stories.   Children read one book for a coupon specials, read for 40 days for a paperback book, and read 30 books to be a super reader.  

There is also a Young Adult Reading Club and Adult Summer Reading Club.

Family Film Nights:  Tuesday July 5 at 6:30 – Diary of a Wimpy Kid:  Rodrick Rules will be shown.  Popcorn will be served.   Children of all ages may attend.

Tuesday, August 2 at 6:30 show show Tangled.
 
Construction Club featuring lego plastic bricks will be held on Wednesday, July 6 at 1:00 for children in grades 1-4.  The hour program features a group challenge.  There will be another Construction Club on Wednesday, August 3

Around the World in 6 weeks – Tuesdays from 2-3 p.m. for children in grades 1-4. Visit a different country each week with crafts, snacks, stories and fun. Registration is required.  “Passports” will be issued.

Mad Scientist comes Wednesday July 13 at 1:30 for children in grades kindergarten – 8th grade.  Learn how to be a young wizard.  Registration required (beginning June 27)

Marshmallow Masquers come Wednesday, July 20 at 5:30 for a family dinner-theatre.   

After a pizza dinner, the audience will be challenged in helping solve “One world, One Mystery”.
 
Berlin’s Talent Show returns for children ages 5-18.  Sing, act, do magic, show a yoyo trick, read a poem!  Registration required (July 11-25).  Dress rehearsal Tuesday, July 26 at 6:30 and the Talent Show is Wednesday, July 27 at 7:00.

Meet a Llama on Wednesday, August 10 at 1:30 and 2:30.  Registration required.  All ages.  Learn about these interesting animals.
 
Ronald McDonald on Wednesday, August 24 at 1:30.  All ages.  Registration required.
