Eco Trashion Fashion Show

Different kind of show will be April 22 at MAC650 Gallery in Middletown 7 p.m.

Artists, designers, models, hair stylists, make-up artists and environmentally creative minds are needed to create and wear ”trashion” for an Eco Trashion Fashion Show.

Prior trashion experience is not necessary but the urge to create eco friendly wearable art as well as making earth consciences decisions to arrive at your finished product is strongly suggested.

All pieces must be made from previously used items such as items destined for the landfill or recycling bin.  Designers are encouraged to have a theme so the finished product does not look like trash but rather compels spectators to be inspired to reuse their candy wrappers, Doritos bags, news papers, ect into wearable art, or very least recycle a little more.

Please also note if design teams or solo artists needs help gathering materials.  As well as if make-up, hair stylist and model(s) are needed.  You do not need to have models, make up or hair people to submit.

Event vision: To bring green awareness while bringing together the arts community in Hartford.  All proceeds will be donated to the National Green Education Foundation and CONNetic Dance for their green efforts.
