With the newly-fallen snow, Berlin residents took to the hills around town looking for the best sledding run.
There were people sledding at Griswold School and Timberlin Golf Course and seemingly everything that even resembled a hill. They used old fashioned iron cast sleds as well as plastic cutouts, snow tubes and even trash bags as a makeshift sled.
There were jumps built to add to the degree of difficulty.
When I grew up we would always walk to Griswold School. While the sledding there is still good, it is not nearly as good or as long in distance since the school was expanded.
Tell us in comments where you go, which is the best and why? Is one place better than another if you are planning to snowboard?
