Under 100 Left Without Power

CL&P says one percent does not have power in town.

Hurricane Irene may have come through Sunday but some Berlin residents are still feeling the affects.

As of 7:45 p.m. Tuesday night, just 95 of the more than 9,400 CL&P customers were without power, roughly one percent.

For many, the power came back on Monday night between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Diana Reimer, who lives in South Kensington off Edgewood Road, talked to a CL&P representative and they told her she would have her lights back on at 8 p.m. Monday night.

"Chalk one up for my positive thinking, Power came back on at 8:36 p.m." she said. "No cable phone or Internet but I've got lights and water now."

Leslie Sanborn, who lives in the Kensington section of town, also said she got power back around 8:30 last night.

Julie Prokop, who lives off Lower Lane did not get her power back until 1:30 this morning (Tuesday.)
