Good News Berlin: Raising Berlin Elects New Officers To Make Sure They Keep Town Families First

New slate of volunteers will build on the work of previous leaders.

Raising Berlin, a local non-profit group founded by Lisa Toussaint: President, Sharon Pinchera: Vice President and Treasurer: Giulia Dubuc: Secretary, Sue D'Allessandro: Secretary and Amanda DiDomenico: Social Chair; is a platform for mothers in our community to connect and share with each other the many different varieties of issues, concerns, interests and experiences that we face as members of a community.

Lisa Touissant the former group president created an organization that promotes kindheartedness towards its members and the community. These women dedicated their time to the founding and building of this community group and did so with the purest and most admirable of intentions; to do good for their community.

It has been the leadership of these women and the collaborative efforts of many of the towns’ organizations that the residents of Berlin have had the pleasure of sharing so many memorable experiences. The events they created not only promote charitable giving and support for local organizations, but also provide wholesome family fun for the community to come together and celebrate.

As former group members turned officers we cannot thank these ladies enough for the foundation they have laid, the experiences we have shared and their continued support. These traditions are a gift to the town of Berlin and in passing the torch we will continue to pass those gifts down to future generations of our children.

Raising Berlin is excited to congratulate its new board of officers; President: Jennifer Czerwinski, Co-Vice President: Christine Vale da Serra, Co-Vice President: Lisa Massirio, Secretary: Ally Riedel, Treasurer: Terri Bauer, Historian: Lisa Brockel, Photographer: Teena Mrachek, and Fundraising Chair: Celine Hines and thank its members for their commitment and service. As Raising Berlin moves into the future, it will be always with the passion, dedication and leadership that we have learned from our predecessors.

The desire to reach out and care for others within our community has never been stronger than it is today. Raising Berlin would like to invite mothers in our community to join us for a meeting to see if you are interested in joining the group and being a part of this experience. All are welcome. We are simply a group of mothers of kids that will go to school together, play together, and share experiences together in our small town.

Meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month at 7:45 pm. at the Kensington Volunteer Fire Department. Please contact RaisingBerlin@comcast.net for more information.
