This October the New Britain Youth Museum at Hungerford Park presents, PumpkinPalooza!
On October 13th, Hungerford's trails will be transformed with hundreds of lit pumpkins. Trail walks will begin with a dusk walk at 5:45pm for younger children and continue until the last group departs at 7:30pm. Learn about halloween traditions and gaze at the many carved creations. After your walk, continue your night inside the museum where you can make autumn crafts and explore our many exhibits. Food will also be available.
The charge is $5 children, $7 adults, 2 and under free. Visit the Hungerford Park table in the Historical Society Building at the Berlin Fair to purchase your tickets in advance and receive $1 off each ticket!
There will also be a "Carving Night" Friday October 12, 2012 (5:30pm-7:30pm). Have your very own carving be put on the trails for all to see. Donate a carved pumpkin! There will also be a pumpkin carving contest. Bring your own pumpkin during this time to enter the contest or, for a $5 donation, carve one of our pumpkins. Your carving may be picked up at 8pm on the night of the event or Sunday Oct. 14 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
