Father Michael has a friend in every child in town, not just from his parish, but all children. He was a frequent visitor to high school sporting events and town activities. Recently he gave the invocation at the dedication of Veterans Park.

He has also volunteered in many capacities and is the chaplain for the South Kensington Volunteer Fire Dept.

Each year at the Berlin Relay for Life, Father Michael holds a Mass at the Berlin Fairgrounds on Saturday night after the luminaria ceremony for the Relay particpants who will not be able to get to church on Sunday morning.

Texts and Facebook messages filled phones and the Web as all from Berlin wonder about his condition.
