Hundreds of people came to Veterans Park for the Fourth Annual Tree Lighting sponsored by Raising Berlin.
There were many events happening from 4 to 6 p.m. but he highlight was Santa taking the Express Ride on the Kensington Fire Department truck and making his way across the bridge to the tree. It took three times but Santa eventually got the tree lit.
There was also an ice sculpture of Frosty the Snowman, an exhibition from snowboarders sponsored by The Cutting Edge and plenty of raffle prizes and refreshments.
