Bus Trip To The Big Apple

The Berlin Parks and Recreation Department is conducting a bus trip to New York on Saturday, December 10. Participants will be able to take in a show, meal, museum or go shopping on their own.

The bus will arrive for boarding at the Berlin Town Hall parking lot at 7:30 a.m. and will depart at 8:00 a.m. There will be a stop in route but no stop on the return trip to Berlin. Estimated time of arrival in New York City, Rockefeller Center, 6th Ave across from the Hilton, 1335 Ave of the Americas at 10.45 a.m.  Boarding time to return will be from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. and the bus will arrive back in Berlin at 8:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. This location will be the only drop off and pick up site for the trip. The department is scheduling the bus trip with Friendship Tours of Bloomfield.

The cost of the trip is $35 for residents and $45 for non-residents. Registrants under eighteen years old must be accompanied by an adult 21 years of age or older.

Registration for residents will start Monday, October 3 and for non-residents Tuesday, October 11. Deadline for registration is Friday, November 23, 2011 at 4:30 p.m.

Please notify the Berlin Parks and Recreation Department if you decide that you are not going and you have someone else taking your place. They will need to have a signed registration form on file  with the Parks and Recreation Department.

Refunds will not be given to participants on finalized trips. Refunds will only be issued by Friendship tours if busses cannot run on day of trip.  Cancellation of trip will be decided 24 hours in advance.
