Not for Profit Mulberry Gardens of Southington Offers Caregivers’ Support Group
SOUTHINGTON - Living with Alzheimer’s disease or a related memory disorder can be challenging for families and caregivers. Mulberry Gardens of Southington offers a support group for families and caregivers on the second Tuesday of every month from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. The next meeting will be Tuesday, April 8.
The group covers topics including communication techniques, caregiver support, wandering, religion, music, behavior, family dynamics, validation breakthrough, and more. Facilitators Jennifer Doty, BSW, and Lori Pisani, activities director, provide hints, community support and a safe environment to listen or share thoughts and feelings.
