Not for Profit Mulberry Gardens of Southington Offers Caregivers' Support Group

Living with Alzheimer’s disease or a related memory disorder is challenging. Mulberry Gardens of Southington offers a support group for families and caregivers on the second Tuesday of each month. The next meeting will be held Tuesday, May 13, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., at the community located at 58 Mulberry St., Plantsville.

Discussion covers topics including communication techniques, caregiver support, wandering, religion, music, behavior, family dynamics, validation breakthrough, and more. Facilitators Jennifer Doty, BSW, and Lori Pisani, activities director, provide suggestions, community support and a safe environment to listen or share thoughts.
