Bicycling Adventure to the Blue Ridge Mountains talk and slideshow

The “Art of Adventure and Exercise” is highlighted July 10th when the Southington Library presents John Smayda’s Bicycling Adventure with support from the Adventure Cycling Association. Mr. Smayda will be giving a talk and slideshow on his bicycling trip of September 2012. John and his brother Tom and sister-in-law Lisa traveled over 700 miles for three weeks on two epic journeys. The first trip followed the Great Allegheny Passage Trail from McKeesport, Pennsylvania ending in Blacksburg, Virginia.

Adventure Cycling Association, a non-profit organization, provided handouts for this presentation. A free drawing will be held at the program for two complimentary memberships in the Cycling Association. If you have been thinking about a bicycle excursion, this talk is for you.
