Story Time, Public Building Commission and Freshman Orientation

Five things to help you plan your day on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013.

Good morning from Berlin Patch! Today is Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013.

1. Looking for a little family story time? Take your young'ns to the Berlin Peck Library today at 10:30 a.m. and enjoy watching those stories come to life.

2. The Public Building Commission will receive updates on a variety of projects ranging from Berlin High School and McGee Middle School to Sage Park tonight. The meeting, open to the public, begins at 7 p.m. in the Board of Education conference room

3. School is nearing opening day, and as the incoming freshman at Berlin High School try and get acclimated, the district will host orientation to give them a head start. Freshman orientation will take place today at 3 p.m.

4. If you are starting to plan ahead for the weekend, why not take in a movie at the nearby Southington Drive-In? The Aug. 24 feature will be "Smokey and the Bandit."
