Young Wrestling Team Falls to 0-6

Middletown tops Berlin 51-13 on the mat.

Middletown beat Berlin in wrestling Wednesday night 51-13 to drop the Redcoats record 0-6 on the season.

"Rick Mullins defeated Jacob Grasis at 154 lbs. 13-0. Rick is starting to blossom as a competitor, he is a sponge in practice and works hard every day. We are currently forfeiting six weight classes, the good news is we have athletes in those weight classes, they are just not ready for varsity competition.

"As each individual expands their skill base we will introduce them into the varsity line up. I have a good feeling that by the end of the year we will be a much more competitive team."
