The following databases are available to Berlin-Peck Memorial Library cardholders. To view these databases, visit the library’s webpage at http://www.berlinpeck.lib.ct.us/ . Patrons will be instructed to enter their library card for access.

A to Z in the USA - The “go-to” resource for U.S. state and territory information. No other product combines so many cultural, historical, and social topic reports with so many modern and vintage maps, photos, and other images.

A to Z in the World- A database of country profiles, with detailed coverage of more than 100 topics each. No other single source covers so many cultural and educational topics, so well, for so many countries.

A to Z World Travel -A massive database of constantly updated information on 175 cities of the world. It provides in-depth information on major topic areas of society and culture, travel, communications, business, trade, marketing, and security. Great resource for travelers and researchers.

Ancestry.com - With 7 billion genealogical records from across the globe and millions of family trees, this is the world’s largest online family history resource. This database can only be accessed inside the library.

Atomic Training - Access free online training video tutorials. Tutorials include: Access, Excel, Google Chrome, Google Docs, Keynote, Outlook, Photoshop, PowerPoint, Publisher, Windows, Word and WordPress. Logon and click on “Find Tutorials” in the center of the page to see a list of available videos.

Iconn.org - The Connecticut Digital Library database containing full text magazine and newspaper articles, business information, medical information, a genealogy database and the state-wide on-line library catalog.  An amazing amount of information for both researchers and the general public.

Legal Forms - Get free access to official, state specific, federal, business, personal, real estate and general forms covering hundreds of legal subjects and issues.

New Book Alerts - Patrons can subscribe to an online newsletter highlighting the newest titles purchased at the library.

Salem Health - This link will provide full-text access to Magill’s Medical Guide, an easy-to-use compendium of medical information suitable for student research as well as use by general readers, patients and caregivers.

Salem History - This database includes comprehensive information on historical events and provides biographical sketches from Salem Press’ Great Lives from History and Great Events from History.

Testing and Education Reference Center – Over 300 practice tests and courses (PSAT, SAT, ACT, for example), information on over 4,000 accredited schools, scholarship search featuring $8 billion in available scholarships, resume builder with over 1,000 brainstorming phrases and career modules covering subjects from career change to salary negotiations.

Tumblebooks - An online collection of animated, talking books, videos and games for children.

Universal Class - Learn something new today! Over 500 online non-credit continuing education courses on topics ranging from office skills to interior design to alternative health and much more.
