The Berlin Boy's basketball team led 12-10 after one period but after that it all went wrong.

Berlin could not solve the Middletown pressure or its sagging zone and trailed at halftime and never recovered in losing 59-43. Berlin fell to 9-4 with the loss.

Bobby Mozzicato led Berlin with 17 points while Tyler Stritch had nine on three three-pointers.

Senior center Mikie Rhodes scored 12 points. Jaquan Collins had 11 points while Shawn Strickland and Jalen Manzie netted 10 points apiece, for Middletown, also 9-4.

"We got outcoached and outplayed," said Berlin coach Mike Veneziano.
