Can't Get Enough of Those Cougars?

Museum to host talk by Bill Betty on the resurgence of the mountain lion in southern New England.

Have you been fascinated by the recent mountain lion sightings in the area? Are you hankering to learn more?

The Institute for American Indian Studies will host a talk by Bill Betty on the return of the mountain lion in southern New England on Sunday, Feb. 19, at 1 p.m. at its museum and research center in Washington, CT.

Betty, a knowledgeable speaker who has seen mountain lions more than a dozen times, will present photographs and cover all aspects of mountain lion — or cougar, puma, catamount — behavior, from predation to life span to habitat, in a talk titled "Return of the Native: Mountain Lions in Connecticut."

Space is limited, so please call for reservations and pricing, or visit the museum's website for more information.
